After the sale... service that guarantees referrals By Pat Zaby 1. "Just Moved" cards – prepare postcards with a picture of the buyers in front of their new home. They can notify friends, family, and creditors of their new address and you’ll get a latent acknowledgement. 2. Return address labels – these can be easily created in a moment using Microsoft Word. The key is to get the correct size labels – Avery #5167. 3. Keys - make keys for each member of the house plus two extras. 4. Stay in touch after the closing - call twice a week for the first two weeks after closing; Call once a week for next three weeks. 5. Give them their own new lockbox and show them how to set the code. 6. Picture note cards – make note cards with a picture of their new home for them to write personal notes to their friends. 7. If they have a small problem, send a fix-it-man to take care of it. 8. Deliver a meal to them on the day that they move. 9. The "Moving Day" kit – include a bucket, sponge, scrubbers, spray cleaner, hand soap, paper towel, toilet paper, and other cleaning materials. 10. Introduce them to their neighbors – Offer to host a simple reception to meet the neighbors either at the buyer’s home or possibly the neighbors. Copyright Pat Zaby, www.patzaby.com
